Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 dropperful of CBD oil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
- Add the diced onion, minced garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeño pepper (if using) to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
- Transfer the cooked meat and vegetables to the slow cooker.
- Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices), kidney beans, black beans, beef or vegetable broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
- Once the chili is cooked, stir in the CBD oil or CBD tincture. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the CBD-infused Slow-Cooked Cannabis Chili hot, garnished with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, or chopped cilantro.
