The name of this dispensary, along with their slightly “Cubbie”-esque color scheme, initially drew me into this uber-unique cannabis establishment. And I don’t think I’m the only one who found themselves instantly intrigued by this supremely stylish cannabis club.

First, let’s take a longer look at their catchy namesake, shall we?

Any place with “Windy City” in their name always makes me smile. There’s something very comfortable;very nostalgic about that sort of terminology. It’s far more reminiscent of a beloved pizza joint or neighborhood arcade, in my personal opinion, and I mean that in the best way possible. In short, it just sounds cool and familiar to my senses, and it had to do little else to fully capture my attention, as I was cruising through a list of local dispensaries.

What I was equally happy to discover, was that this isn’t the only “Windy City Cannabis” in the state. In fact, they have 3 other locations that people can freely visit. They can be found in Homewood, Posen, and Worth. So, if you’re an Illinois resident currently living near any of those establishments, you may want to check out this one-of-a-kind cannabis club the next time you are in need of government-approved weed.

Now, let’s redirect our focus on their praise-worthy font choice, logo, and color scheme that they chose to go with for their line of cannabis retail establishments. I want to give their design team a lengthy standing ovation for their color choice here. Not only is it native to the folks of Illinois, but it’s an overdue, very much welcomed departure from the typical bright, neon green signs that you’ve seen since legalization went into effect.

Those stereotypical aesthetics do nothing but annoy me, to be honest. It’s like, okay, we get it. You sell weed here. You don’t need to have a 15-foot glowing leaf in your window to let everybody know about it.

I mean, I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t already aware about your business, so please, practice a little bit of subtly, would you? I’m not embarrassed to buy cannabis from a place that looks like that, but I’d prefer my entire shopping experience to feel cool, calm, and collected – not immature, in-your-face, and inconsistent, that’s all.

Luckily, the brilliant team at “Windy City Cannabis” knows exactly what they’re doing, and it shows in almost every single business (and design) decision that they’ve made along the way.

I’ve heard nothing but great things about these dispensaries, but for one reason or another, I’ve never gotten around to hitting them up. But, recently, I figured it was “high” time to see what they had to offer. And, yes, that pun was absolutely intended!

Atmosphere

Now, this is what I’m talking about!

If you were expecting a drab, dull waiting room, and boring showroom, completely void of character and personality, you won’t be finding any of that mundane nonsense at “Windy City,” that’s for sure.

Instead of a typical bench, or series of Drama-Class-Level seating, that you find in most waiting areas, the folks over at this Justice location have adorned their peacefully-decorated waiting area with a handful of modern, super-comfortable chairs. The leather and wood that these expensive seating arrangements sport is top-notch, and it really sets a tone of quality for the overall experience.

After checking-in with their polite front desk staff member, you will patiently await your turn in that stunning waiting area. But, routinely, you won’t have to wait long before being beckoned back into their equally striking showroom.

Here, you’ll find that same calming blue color on their walls. Which serves as a serene backdrop to their gorgeous wood countertops, that are custom designed to double as display cases. Each section sports a different part of their illustrious selection. Behind the budtenders, you’ll notice various polygonal designs, which are all takes on the chemical compound for THC.

How cool is that?!

Everybody that works here is always incredibly nice, patient, and more than ready to answer any and all questions I may have. These helpful people round out this marijuana shopping experience in the best way, and I can’t think of a place that has a nicer team of budtenders – “Windy City” is that good!

Inventory

Let’s take a gander at their menu.

This is, obviously, where a place can, essentially, “make or break” themselves. So, I always hold my breath a bit when a dispensary is this awesome in every other regard. They couldn’t be absolutely perfect, could they?

Well, after taking a look at their selection of products, I have to admit, this might be one of the best all-around menus that I’ve seen, especially in this part of the state!

To be specific, they have roughly 50 vapes to choose from, nearly the same amount of edibles, a little under 20 flowers, and over 10 extracts to close out their menu. In my opinion, they’ve done a fantastic job in delegating products throughout their selection. Far too often, you’ll see a place specialize in only one category of cannabis, leaving their other sections to be full of lackluster options. Not at “Windy City,” though. They seemed to have figured it all out.

Every single section of their menu is chock full of top-notch items, which is more than what you can say about the typical dispensary nowadays.

Prices

Reasonable, affordable, and downright a delight to see.

This place, given its upper echelon aesthetic and stylized vibe, could easily up-charge for their products, but they have proven to prioritize customer service over profit, and I couldn’t be happier about that decision.

Now, sure, there are a few high-priced items that can be found on this extensive menu, but those exorbitant price tags are only attached to items of the highest quality. So, basically, you get what you pay for here. Which is totally understandable. But, even taking that into consideration, their average price point is super reasonable, and won’t surprise even the most frugal stoner, I guarantee it.

Well done, “Windy City.” Well done.

Conclusion

This is a “done deal,” folks.

“Windy City Cannabis,” out here in Justice, is one of those damn near perfect pot shops that I can’t recommend highly enough. Everything about this place, from their style, to their staff, and all the way to their supreme selection of super dank products, is amazing. There’s nothing that this business lacks.

They could be used as an example for how to properly run a modern marijuana retail chain, in my opinion. And, if you haven’t already, you should be sure to check this place out the next time you start to see your stash dwindling down to nothing. I know I will.

See you there, my fellow cannabis enthusiasts!
