How To Make Cannabis Corn Dog Bites Like A Pro

For the average cannabis enthusiast, having a scrumptious snack on hand for a proper post-smoke “munchie” relief is beyond critical. Anyone who has ever smoked (even just once) is more than aware of the importance placed upon these on-the-go treats. And what’s really great about them, is they can literally run the flavor spectrum, as far as tastes are concerned
It really all comes down to how you’re feeling in the moment. I mean, I’m sure there’s a healthy amount of you out there who have a “go-to” when it comes to a snack of this nature. But, for me, I personally like to switch things up every now and then, just to see if I can find a new way to please my palate.
There are times where, as soon as the joint is put out, I become overwhelmed with a craving for something sweet. Candies and gummies usually hit the spot when that sort of appetite hits me. But, just as often, I find myself on the hunt for something savory. Things like beef jerky and burger sliders are the culinary heroes that I’m looking for, when I’m met with such an insatiable desire to eat something sincerely filling and satisfying.

Honestly, there is no wrong way to approach curing your weed-induced hunger. If it makes you happy, that’s really all that matters. So, don’t take my personal opinions as “gospel.” I’m merely trying to showcase how much I can genuinely relate to those moments of increasing hunger that are often experienced minutes (sometimes seconds) after partaking in a bit of bud.
While those culinary creations differ greatly in pretty much every way, there is one common thread that can be found amongst them. That thread, my friends, is the fact that they are all made for me. I wouldn’t have to lift a finger in any sort of kitchen in order to chow down on any of those aforementioned goodies.

Which, don’t get me wrong, is one of the best aspects to those dishes. But, at times, typically on the work-free weekends, I have an inkling to toss my apron on, roll up my sleeves, and see just how good of a cook I may be. Given my very low experience level, and even lower acumen for any and all things related to the kitchen, it certainly wouldn’t be an easy goal to achieve. But I’m always willing to take on a challenge.
Knowing that, and also not wanting to set a goal too high for my rookie culinary skills to hit, I decided that I should start off with something small; like a finger food of some sort. Also, not for nothing, but these sort of handheld delights are ideal to enjoy right after a session, as you can pop as many (or as few) as your little heart desires.
Which is why I decided to kick off my culinary trek with some classic corn dog bites.

But, as I started to research a recipe, I realized that I can make these iconic American treats even better. How? Why, by tossing in some crowd-pleasing cannabis into the mix, that’s how!
That’s right, folks. I’m about to teach how to make some seriously amazing Cannabis Corn Dog Bites. And trust me, if it’s simply enough for me to make, anyone will be able to nail this recipe with the utmost ease. I guarantee it.
Before we get too deep into this recipe, however, we’ll need to make sure you have some cannabis-infused butter nearby. Without that, your recipe, though still as delectable as ever, will lack that THC-infused “umph” that we are looking for.

So, if you find yourself lacking this key ingredient, simply head on down to your local cannabis club, and pick up a tub (or two) of this cannabis-enriched cooking aid. Or, if you’re so inclined, you can look up my previous recipe for homemade cannabis-infused butter, and whip up a batch of your very own. It’s completely up to you.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Large bowl for mixing
  • Muffin liners
  • Muffin Tin
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray

Ingredients

Here’s a full list of ingredients needed in order to complete this recipe for Cannabis Corn Dog Bites:

  • 2 Tablespoons Cannabis-Infused Butter (Melted)
  • 2 Tablespoons Regular, Non-Medicated Butter (Melted)
  • 10 Hot Dogs (Cut into 36 1” pieces)
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tablespoons Baking Powder
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • Okay, once you’ve accumulated all of those ingredients, you can then preheat your oven to a solid 375°. As that baby warms up to that desired temperature, you’ll want to grab a muffin tin.
  • Now, at this point, you have a choice to make. You could either place some muffin liners into the crevices of the tin, per the usual “muffin-making” routine. Or, you could simply spray each opening with some non-stick cooking spray. The choice is completely up to you, as each method delivers similarly successful results.
  • After you’ve prepped your muffin tin, place it to the side for the moment, and grab a large bowl for mixing.
  • In that bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Be sure to do your best in mixing these ingredients together, as you’ll want every element to be evenly dispersed throughout. When you’re happy with how everything is mixed, you can feel free to move on.
  • The next step is a similar mixing procedure. In a separate bowl, pour in your eggs, milk, honey, and two different kinds of butter (medicated and non-medicated). Whisk those together just as well as your previous bowl of dry ingredients. Then, following that quality “whisk session,” dump your wet ingredients in with your dry ones, and continue mixing until everything is expertly intertwined with one another.
  • Once you’ve completed that step of adequately blending those ingredients together, you may then deposit a tablespoon’s worth of batter into you muffin tin crevices. In the center of each semi-filled batter muffin section, gingerly place one of those pre-cut hot dog pieces. Make sure they are placed in the middle, as you’ll want the batter around it to cook evenly, creating a classic corn dog effect.
  • The moment you fill up your tin with batter and hot dog bites, head on over to your oven, which should be totally preheated by now, and place those bites in there for about 15 minutes. You’ll know everything is just about ready when the cornbread surrounding the hot dog bite is sporting a golden brown hue.
  • At that point, you can feel free to remove the muffin tin(s) from the oven, and place them on the counter to cool down a bit before diving in. But, yeah, that’s basically it, folks.
  • That’s how you make Cannabis Corn Dog Bites that all of your smoking buddies will die for.
