- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms (such as button or cremini), sliced

- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
