5mg 1:1 Tangerine Menta Mints

Menta Mints were available at MOCA, and as soon as I saw them. I knew I had to give them a shot. I’ve had multiple edibles before, but my experience with mints of this nature is rather slim. So, I figured it was time to give these bad boys a shot. And, man, am I happy I did!

Appearance 4/5
The packaging is small enough to fit in your pocket, allowing you to carry it around very discreetly. The container is made of thin plastic, and features a friendly orange color. The mints themselves are white triangles, with internal flecks of orange and blue. They are each stamped with a “THC Menta” embossed logo. They really look like average breath mints—no one would ever know what they truly are, unless they read the box.

Aroma 4/5
These mints don’t have too strong of a smell, but the scent is pleasant. When the user slides open the tin, there is only a slight aroma of peppermint. No real smell of herb whatsoever. As far as aroma goes, opening the tin of Menta Mints is basically just like opening a box of regular breath mints. Very refreshing.

Taste 3/5
The mints have a much stronger peppermint flavor than I expected. It’s a flavor similar to an Altoid, as it produces a slight burning sensation in my mouth. I get the faintest taste of weed, but I don’t taste tangerine of any kind, nor do I detect any citrus flavors. The taste is not unpleasant, though, and your mouth feels fresh and clean after the mint completely dissolves.

The packaging states that the user will start to feel the effects of the mints 45-90 minutes after ingestion. I chose to take two mints to kick things off. Right around the 45-minute mark, I could feel a change in my overall mood, along with a calming feeling in my body.

A nice feeling of relaxation took over, as a mellow body high kicked in, and lasted for a few hours. Overall, this product was great to take before bed, as it helped me wind down and drift off into a great night’s sleep.

I was very satisfied with the Ataraxia Tangerine Menta Mints. I would recommend this product to anyone needing a subtle way to relax. I feel like the product works best when taken at night, especially a few hours before bedtime. The packaging, the size, and the smell of the mints make this a super-discrete product that can be taken on-the-go.

From visiting the dispensary to consuming the product, my overall experience was very positive. My experience at the dispensary was painless and pleasant. These mints provided me with a great way to relax and relieve stress. I enjoy trying a wide variety of edibles, and would be very open to trying a different flavor (or strain) of these mints again in the very near future.

MOCA Modern Cannabis is my new go-to cannabis store in Chicago.

It is conveniently located in Logan Square. The store is clean and modern, and I really appreciated the large waiting room. It has plenty of seating for those waiting to enter the back room. I went on a Friday afternoon, and the store was understandably busy, but the employees were able to get the customers through quickly. All employees, including security, were tremendously pleasant.

The back room is pretty sterile, and only a few products were on display in a lit case below the registers.

My budtender was friendly, and didn’t make me feel rushed. I had a good idea of what I wanted before going into the store, but I also had a few questions, which he was willing and able to answer quite easily.

Shopping in this store was a great experience, and I will certainly return again in the future.
