For this purchase, I decided to check out a purely CBD product, so I chose Canna Mist High CBD spray by Spectra. It’s a misting spray that contains 100mg of CBD. According to the product packaging, the spray is most effective when applied sublingually, or in other words, under the tongue.

Appearance  5/5
The Canna Mist is packaged in a sealed white plastic pouch. Like a lot of cannabis products, the top seal is made child proof, by requiring the user to pinch opposite ends, and pull them apart with some force. Admittedly, it took me a few tries to get it open. The pouch contains a breakdown of the cannabinoid content inside, as well as other product information.

Inside the pouch, is a small vial containing the mist. The vial is a clear plastic, and you can see the amber-colored mist inside, which is handy for monitoring how much you have left. The top of the container is a pump, which you press down to spray.

Aroma  4/5
There isn’t really an aroma for the product, as it’s sealed inside the container. However, upon unscrewing the top and sniffing the mist inside, I would say it has a pretty fragrant scent. The tropical moniker on the product definitely applies. It’s artificial smelling, but pleasant, like a scented candle.

Taste  5/5
I was curious how strong of a taste this product would have when applied under my tongue, and I was surprised to find that I could still taste a pretty strong flavor. Again, I found “tropical” a pretty apt description, as it tasted fruity and fragrant. It reminded me of a sweet, fruit-flavored gum, like Juicy Fruit, or a fruit punch juice.

I found the taste pleasant, but if those flavors aren’t your thing, you might want to look elsewhere. Also, something else that’s worth noting, is it does not taste like cannabis at all, nor does it leave your breath smelling like freshly cut bud. That’s good to know, especially if you don’t like the herbal taste of unflavored CBD tinctures, and/or want to avoid people smelling marijuana on your breath. With this Canna Mist, they’ll likely think you just spat out a piece of gum.

Effect  4/5
I wasn’t sure how to properly dose this mist, as it seemed imprecise to me. The packaging said each spray typically delivers about 2mg of CBD. That was helpful, but unlike with THC, I don’t know how much CBD I needed in my system, in order to feel the effects.

For my first test, I tried two sprays, so approximately 4mg.

I was surprised how quickly the effects seemed to kick in. I had read that sublingual application leads to quicker onset of effects, and I think that’s true. Within about 10 minutes, I started to feel some of my morning stress ease away. This led to a nice, calm feeling that lasted about an hour.

For my next time, I took four sprays, so about 8mg.

This led to similar feelings, along with a much looser feeling in my body. Not quite a body high, but again, more of an overall relaxation. Mentally, I still felt clear-headed, but I also noticed I was more patient with fellow commuters on the way to work, and more content with the duties I had to complete that morning.

Product price: $30

I’d recommend Spectra Canna Mist High to anyone looking to experiment with CBD spray. I’ve tried several CBD products in the past, from full-spectrum tinctures, to chewable supplements, to infused drinks, with mixed results.

I’d say the mist delivered more noticeable effects than most, and more consistently than any others. If you want to experience the mood-altering effects and physical calming sensations of cannabis, without the THC, look no further. If you’re considering getting into THC, but are apprehensive, I’d also recommend this, as it gives you sort of a nice preview into the effects you’d feel when high.

I am happy I finally found a CBD product I can rely on to start my day calmly, or help me wind down, without getting high. Spectra Canna Mist is a great-tasting, easy-to-use product that I would definitely pick up again. Check it out if you want to add some CBD in your life!

I made this purchase at Nature’s Care, a medical and recreational cannabis dispensary in Rolling Meadows. It’s a small, but well-staffed, dispensary, and is the only recreational dispensary currently located in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Though Nature’s Care recently went recreational after being medically exclusive, they really prioritize their medical patients. For one, medical patients are available to walk right into the store, without having to wait in line. And, on busy days, like Fridays, where the recreational line can wrap around the outside of the store, this saves a ton of time.

There are also dedicated recreational and medical lines in the showroom, to keep things moving along for medical patients. Nature’s Care is committed to keeping enough product in stock to serve medical patients first and foremost.

I’m also happy to report that the excellent customer service I’ve always experienced at Nature’s Care is still alive and well. There are more staff than ever, and everyone I’ve met there is energetic and super helpful.

My only gripe about Nature’s Care is the parking.

There is a small lot up front, and a slightly bigger one in back. Thankfully, the business says parking is for medical customers only, but given their spike in business, they will need to find a permanent solution very soon, as they leave it up to the recreational customers to find alternative parking.

A tip for first-timer visitors: the church across the street no longer allows customers to park in their lot, and they do have the authority to call a towing company on your car, so beware!
