- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 dropperful of CBD oil
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
Add the diced onion, minced garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeño pepper (if using) to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
Transfer the cooked meat and vegetables to the slow cooker.
Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices), kidney beans, black beans, beef or vegetable broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
Once the chili is cooked, stir in the CBD oil or CBD tincture. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
