- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 orange (zested and juiced)
- 1/4 cup cannabis-infused honey or cannabis-infused sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Rinse and pick over the cranberries, discarding any that are soft or damaged.
Zest and juice the orange, setting aside the zest and juice separately.
In a medium saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Add the cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, cannabis-infused honey or sugar, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer, stirring occasionally.
Cook for about 15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the cranberry sauce cool to room temperature.
Remove the cinnamon stick, if used.
Transfer the sauce to a serving dish or airtight container.
- Decarboxylation: Ensure your cannabis is decarboxylated before infusing it into the honey or sugar to activate the THC.
