Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 orange (zested and juiced)
  • 1/4 cup cannabis-infused honey or cannabis-infused sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse and pick over the cranberries, discarding any that are soft or damaged.
  • Zest and juice the orange, setting aside the zest and juice separately.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  • Add the cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, cannabis-infused honey or sugar, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook for about 15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the cranberry sauce cool to room temperature.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick, if used.
  • Transfer the sauce to a serving dish or airtight container.

Notes

  • Decarboxylation: Ensure your cannabis is decarboxylated before infusing it into the honey or sugar to activate the THC.
  • Dosage: Adjust the amount of cannabis-infused honey or sugar according to your desired potency and tolerance.
  • Storage: Store the cranberry sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
