- 6 cups day-old bread, cubed (preferably brioche or challah)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cannabis-infused butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with some of the melted cannabis-infused butter.
Place the cubed bread into the greased baking dish. If using raisins, sprinkle them evenly over the bread.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, remaining cannabis-infused butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Press down lightly with a spatula to help the bread absorb the custard.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of ice cream if desired.
- Decarboxylation: Make sure your cannabis is decarboxylated before infusing it into the butter to activate the THC.
- Dosage: Adjust the amount of cannabis-infused butter according to your desired potency and tolerance.
- Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
