During this trip, I purchased the peanut butter and milk chocolate bar by Nature’s Grace and Wellness. The cannabis-infused bar contains 100mg total THC and is separated into five pieces, each containing approximately 20mg THC. The cannabis oil used is of an indica variety, though no specific strain name is given.
Appearance 4/5
The peanut butter and milk chocolate bar comes wrapped in gold-colored foil and is placed in a zip-sealed pouch. The pouch has a child-proof seam that you must pinch both sides of to open. The bar has an appealing swirl of peanut butter brown through the chocolate, which I thought was a nice touch. It’s perforated into five evenly sized pieces for easy dosing, which I also appreciated. Overall, it has the look of a professionally made product, which lends credibility to the manufacturer, Nature’s Grace and Wellness, and made me feel like I could confidently dose a piece for myself.
Aroma 3/5
My first impression on unwrapping the bar was that it smelled very sweet. Over the years, I’ve developed a fondness for dark chocolate over milk chocolate, and so I don’t find myself eating milk chocolate very often — this could have influenced my opinion. But after a minute, I did start to notice a peanut smell. I didn’t detect much of a cannabis scent until really sniffing closely when an herbal note finally came through.
Taste 3/5
If I suspected this bar was very sweet after smelling it, eating a piece confirmed my suspicions. I was instantly hit with a sugary milk chocolate taste, followed closely by peanut butter. It was similar to a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, but not quite nutty enough — more of an imitation version. The herbal cannabis flavors were much stronger tasting than they smelled, and I welcomed their flavors as it helped to break up the sweetness. I’m not a peanut butter fiend, but I do like the taste, and I wish this bar could have upped the nutty flavor and maybe reduced some of the sweetness of the chocolate. I don’t consume edibles for the taste, however, and overall, it still tasted good.
Effect 4 /5
I was excited to try an indica strain edible, as I had previously only experimented with sativa strains and hybrids. I decided to go all-in my first time and try a 20mg piece. About 45 minutes after eating, I started to notice its effect. It started with heightened body awareness, then led to feelings of calm and mild euphoria. I was perfectly content with sitting down on the sofa and watching YouTube. This is different from other experiences where I’ve wanted to remain active, and it was nice, especially after a long day.
The effect lasted for about three hours before I notice a fade. The comedown was nice and gradual, and I accepted it, instead of fixating on the fact that I was no longer as high as I was earlier. Also worth noting is the fact that I had a great night’s sleep after consuming.
I enjoyed my experience with the peanut butter and milk chocolate bar. As I mentioned above, it was a bit too sweet-tasting for me, so if that’s a turn-off for you, I’d recommend something else. The bar also contains nuts, dairy, and palm and vegetable oils, which may be deal-breakers for you depending on your diet or allergies.
Overall though, this is a solid edible option, especially for peanut butter fans. The high it produces lasts for a long time and is really pleasant and mellow. The easy-to-break, evenly cut sections of the bar make dosing easy. This is definitely more of a product for staying in and relaxing, and I can attest that it really helped me unwind after a long week.
Who doesn’t love chocolate and peanut butter? The two have always been a match made in heaven. Add cannabis to that mix, and you have…a rather tempting menage a trois? Peanut butter heads should seek out this bar, and anyone can appreciate the calming indica high it produces.

I purchased this product at Nature’s Care — a medical marijuana dispensary located in Rolling Meadows, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Nature’s Care is a clean, bright facility with quick and professional service. There’s a great herbal smell as soon as you walk in the front door, and a comfortable waiting room (which I’ve never actually had to wait in) with lots of cannabis magazines and literature, plus fresh coffee.
Every time I walk into the bright, clean, and well-furnished lobby, I can’t help but smile. There’s usually great music playing over the speakers, be it a classic rock gem, reggae, or something more modern. As usual, the team behind the counter was quick to call me over to pick up my already placed order and were happy to answer any questions about the product.
Nature’s Care has two lines for customers — one for patients who have preorders filed, and one for those who do not yet know what they want. I always see staff in that line patiently explaining products to patients who may have never used cannabis before, or who just want to discuss what they are getting. It’s pretty heartwarming to see a 20-something who I assume is an experienced smoker, informing an elderly woman on the benefits of a given strain. Though I almost always have a preorder in, I’ve asked questions to the staff many times, and they’re always happy to help and offer friendly service in general.
