Their product line includes a variety of tonics and tonic powders. PTS Raspberry Lemonade Tonic is infused with a hybrid strain that has 97.2% THC.

PTS Raspberry Lemonade Tonic is packaged in a slim plastic bottle. The bottle is covered with a white and pink plastic film, that outlines the ingredients. I like that the dosage amounts are clearly outlined on the side of the bottle. An additional feature I like is that the lid locks like the lid of a pill bottle, making sure that the product doesn’t spill out after the seal has been broken. The liquid itself is a pink color, similar to that of the packaging.

Upon opening the bottle, I immediately got the scent of lemon and raspberry. The smell is very light and fresh. There is also a slight hint of the medicinal ingredient in the drink, as well. Overall, the product smells very pleasant, and made me excited to take a sip.

Put simply, this drink tastes amazing. I’m generally a fan of citrus flavors, and the flavor of this tonic is nicely balanced between lemon and raspberry flavors. I was pleasantly surprised that it is not overly sweet. The flavors are subtle and not overpowering. Based on taste alone, the flavor is good enough that I would buy it at a grocery store even if it is offered as a “non-medicated” lemonade.

This is the first tonic I’ve tried, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I took the equivalent of around 15mg THC. In a measuring cup, this is about 30ml. About an hour after ingestion, I felt incredibly drowsy, but the feeling was soothing and relaxing. I enjoyed the feeling for a few hours before falling asleep. The next evening, I tried the tonic again to see if the effect was any different, but I still felt an overwhelmingly drowsy feeling. I would recommend this to any user who has trouble falling (or staying) asleep, as this drink came pretty close to knocking me out every single time.

The smell and taste could not be better. For me, the drowsy effect was a little too overpowering, and I wasn’t expecting such an effect the first time around. I would buy this again, but I’d only take it if I was having sleep disturbances, or needed some major relief from stress or anxiety. I would definitely be interested in trying other flavors from the PTS product line, as well.

My experience purchasing and consuming the PTS Raspberry Lemonade Tonic was great. Though busy, the budtenders at the dispensary were able to move people through the line very quickly. My experience with the product was very good—the taste was excellent, and the effects were strong.

Sunnyside in Elmwood Park is a medical and adult-use dispensary. The busy shop features valet parking, with some street parking available. I visited the shop on a Friday night, and it was fairly busy. The wait wasn’t too long, though, as there were several budtenders available to take care of the crowds.

My budtender was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. My only issue during this visit was that the inventory listed on the website wasn’t quite up-to-date with what was available in-store. I have to give them leniency, though, as dispensaries are still figuring out how to handle the high demand in Illinois.
