High Supply sells bulk cannabis grown by Cresco Labs. They sell shake, popcorn buds, and disposable vapes–all of which come in Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid.
The Indica Shake contains 7 grams of ground cannabis, which comes from small buds at the bottom of the plant, and is ground to a uniform, medium-coarse consistency. The dispensary label revealed the strain of the item I purchased was Gorilla Glue #4, containing 27.51% THC, although the cannabinoid percentages may vary.
Appearance 4/5
I don’t know what I expected seven grams of shake to look like, but it definitely wasn’t this. This cannabis is almost indistinguishable from the cannabis inside prerolls. It has a medium-coarse grind and can be rolled right into a joint, but it isn’t too fine to use in a bowl or bong, without a filter. The color is army green with some coarse tan specks. There are a few thin stems that are up to ½” long.
Aroma 5/5
This product has a rich, delicious aroma that is earthy, fruity, and sour. There is a prominent aroma of bark and wet earth that hit me at the front of the nostrils. Notes of tart cherry and freshly squeezed citrus juice, particularly grapefruit and lemon, crept in after. The aroma is slightly zesty and has a mild, yet pleasant, diesel smell that adds complexity to the aroma. The scent is much fruitier and brighter than the taste.
Taste 4/5
The taste of Indica Shake is good, but it isn’t particularly unique. It is mild, slightly chemical, with notes of dark chocolate and coffee. The coffee notes resemble the slightly burnt flavor of Starbucks. There were subtle notes of basil and fresh flowers, along with a “green” flavor that reminded me of raw broccoli. It tastes savory and mellow. The cannabis tasted much fresher than most pre-rolls, including those from Cresco Labs.
Effect 5/5
This strain gave me a strong body buzz and made me feel sedated, but not sleepy. I felt euphoric, physically relaxed, and excited, although I was too stoned to do anything. This is a powerful strain at 27.51% THC, and I found it to be a little too heavy for daytime use.
While I didn’t feel drowsy, I felt sedated, spending plenty of time sitting on the edge of the bed, blissfully staring into space. It also made me feel spacey and forgetful–not in a bad way, but in a way that kept me from being productive at any level.

When I went to pick up products at Sunnyside Dispensary last week, the line was all the way down the block, with customers lined up 10 feet apart. I was standing at the end of the line when an employee instructed me to go across the street to wait. “Can I just stand across the street until the line starts moving?” I asked. The employee told me that legally, I had to wait across the street.
I’ve been waiting to see what they’ve done with the pizza restaurant that they turned into a consultation space, so I was happy to check it out. When I crossed the street, I was met by two women with clipboards. They instructed me to check in with my name and phone number, and they would text me when I could get in line.
They have completely gutted and refurbished the restaurant. This isn’t some make-shift consultation space until they open their larger Wrigleyville location. The consultation space isn’t painted yellow like the inside of the dispensary. The walls are exposed brick and the floor is wood. They have several grey couches, and dozens of grey chairs that are separated with little round tables, each with potted succulents and informational packets about cannabis.
No sooner did I start exploring the space, when an employee called me over and sent me to the line at the fulfillment center. I was last in line, and a man got in line six feet behind me. The employee asked him to go across the street, and he also asked if he could just stand off to the side instead.
This is the longest line I’ve experienced at Sunnyside for a while, but between the time I checked in at the consultation center, and the time I was at the register, I was only waiting for about 25 minutes.
