Unforgettable

Unforgettable is a strain that banks on its name. While its roots are unclear, several IG photos from the company highlight its lovely terpene composition. Terpinolene (one of the rarer terpenes), along with Caryophyllene (also found in cloves), Nerolidol (great at fending off bacteria and parasites), Valencene (yep– orange), and a couple others make this strain a definitive “must-try.”

A pre-roll always brings a sigh of relief: one gram, perfectly wrapped, with the RAW filter showing beneath the unbleached, extra long, rolling papers. No extra work is needed, beyond opening the tightly secured top of the tube it comes in. Upon un-wrapping for better inspection of the flower, the terpene-lined, rusty hairs stand out among the light, olive-colored leaves.

Aroma 5/5
The combination of terpenes in this strain give it a multifaceted aroma. The citrus from valencene, and the freshness of myrcene, are first to hit the nose, followed by caryophyllene’s spiciness, and the general skunk of great bud. Though hard to pin down, this variety of aromas makes for a tantalizing strain. The scent created by the smoke is dense and lingering (not the best strain for discreet sessions), reminding one of this bud long after it’s been smoked.

Once lit, however, a black pepper and clove combo dominates the flavor profile of the Unforgettable strain. Again, the initial pull is fresh, but as one inhales, that deep spice takes over. It’s almost uncanny how peppery this strain tastes, the combustion seems to release even more of that lurking allspice smell. In Honduras, some coffee producers mill the beans with black pepper, producing an absolutely delicious brew. This pre-roll reminds me of those unforgettable cups of coffee.

This strain is a THC dominant hybrid, allowing for several sessions with one pre-roll, since the effects come in pretty strong. This strain’s effects begin heady, but instead of provoking sleep, they seep down and throughout the body fairly quickly. It is a well-balanced experience, between a lingering head high for relaxing, and a mellow body high for day-to-day activities.

The Unforgettable Pre-Roll is adept for diverse settings. It is a strong enough strain that one 1g could be shared between more than just three people. The high THC content, along with its therapeutically active terpenes, also makes it useful for pain, inflammation, and related medicinal needs. Its hybrid indica/sativa blend, when in smaller doses, produces a well-balanced, non-drowsy experience. For those looking for a bud with a unique flavor, Unforgettable’s black pepper and clove combination won’t disappoint.

R007’s Unforgettable has a tasteful combination of all these factors. The high THC concentration in this strain gives longevity to this pre-roll, while its terpene composition lends therapeutic properties to a session. Though citrus at first, the pepper-clove combo is what lingers, flavorwise.

Though time itself seems to have lost structure, Mission Dispensaries, and their staff, continue to operate like clockwork in these uncertain times. 

The online pick-up time reservation system previously mentioned in other reviews, allows for a personalized, yet efficient experience, despite the current regulations on social distancing. Mission staff reach out to every customer individually by phone to take their order.  Six feet of distance mark the outside wait-line, and the one-in-one-out process makes for the shortest wait times I have ever experienced. Medical card holders do not need a pre-established pick-up time, but, like all, are subject to the eight-person capacity indoors. 

Each week begins a new stage in these trying times, and yet, Mission staff are just as welcoming and willing to engage with patients and customers, alike. The kindness and comprehension afforded by this dispensary make each trip joyful, reminiscent of times before the virus, and pointing towards a not-so-far-away future, in which we will be able to engage with others, without donning a mask.
