On this trip, I picked up the White Chocolate Raspberry CBN bar by Innocent, a brand from InGrown farms. This bar contains .45mg THC and .59mg CBD, according to the label. The label also states it has a total of 21mg total cannabinoids. Since that doesn’t add up, I’m guessing the rest of the unaccounted 20mg is made of CBN, which the label does not mention.

Appearance 5/5
Innocent has done a great job of branding, packing this bar into a sleek, dare I say, seductive black pouch. The design is very simple and modern and should attract plenty of customers. The bar itself also looks incredible. It’s a pale pink color with little flecks of real raspberry throughout. It’s also molded into a really nice shape, divided into 10 good-sized pieces.

Aroma 5/5
If the looks caught my eye, the smells of this bar attracted my nose and got me really excited to try this bar. It has a rich, creamy, sweet smell tinged with tart berries. It really smelled like some premium ice cream or homemade cookies. Nothing was overpowering or too strong, and I also couldn’t pick up any cannabis flavor from the scent.

Taste 5/5
This isn’t surprising given the looks and smell of this bar, but it tasted incredible. I’m not crazy about white chocolate, but when it’s done right, it can be really good, and this was one of those times. The piece I broke off stayed pretty firm for a while, but once it starts to melt, you get a creamy, high-quality white chocolate flavor, as well as some nice crunchy bits of freeze-dried raspberries. The raspberries’ tartness was key to balancing things out. I also noticed a small hint of weed flavor, but it wasn’t super strong or noticeable to me.

Effect 3/5
My first experience with this bar involved taking two pieces. I wasn’t sure what to expect given the confusing potency analysis on the label, so I decided to try some and analyze how I felt. After about an hour and a half, I could say I did feel relatively calm and relaxed compared to my usual temperament, but not as much as I had hoped. I would say the feeling wasn’t strong enough to rule out the placebo effect.

Another time, I tried mixing two pieces with a stronger THC edible. This time, I felt that the CBN bar helped strengthen the THC bond in my system, leading to a stronger, longer-lasting high. Other times, I didn’t feel much of a difference, whether I was eating pieces of the bar on their own, or combining them with other edibles. My results were inconsistent, and the effects left me unsatisfied overall.

Product price: $29

I wouldn’t recommend this bar to anyone looking to get really high, or get relief for medical ailments. Its effects just aren’t pronounced enough for those cases. After doing some research, I learned CBN is a non-psychoactive compound that shares some similarities to CBD, but has very different effects. It’s believed to have sedative effects, so perhaps this bar is best suited for those looking for a sleep aid.

I really love the taste and look of this Innocent bar – you can tell they put a lot of thought and work into it because it really does taste incredible. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the effects it produced. I’d definitely try out other products from Innocent in the future, though – hopefully they taste just as good, but with stronger effects!
