Revolution Global is the largest producer of medicinal cannabis in Illinois, and they offer a variety of medicinal products under the direction of their subsidiary brands. This Surp comes from Revolution’s Spring Lake Craft Infusions brand. Surp is meant to be a drink mixer, but can also be enjoyed straight from the bottle. Revolution’s Orange Pineapple Guava Surp is infused with a hybrid strain, featuring a 1:1 ratio – 50mg of THC and 50mg of CBD.
Appearance 5/5
Revolution Orange Pineapple Guava Surp is packaged in a small brown glass bottle, with a black plastic cap. The cap has a locking mechanism to prevent the product from spilling. Full lab results are printed on one side of the label, and on the other, are instructions for proper use. Along with the labeling, the glass bottle mimics the appearance of an antique medicine bottle. It’s a cool look, and the product presents itself as of the highest quality. The Surp is a cloudy white color, and seems to be more runny than other surps in the Revolution line.
Aroma 4/5
As I opened the cap, a sweet and fruity scent hit my nose. I could detect a few different aromatics in the mix, but pineapple was the dominant aroma, followed by orange. The aroma was sweet and pleasant, with no evidence of a cannabis infusion, at all.
Taste 5/5
To get the full effect of the flavor of this product, I tried one teaspoon straight. I thought the flavor was excellent – I could pick out the flavors of orange and pineapple, and the mellow flavor of guava balanced everything out, so the Surp isn’t too acidic. I then tried a few teaspoons in a lemon lime soda. The Surp made the drink very sweet, but it wasn’t unpleasant. There were no funky notes of cannabis, or any other strange flavors. The Surp was sweet, fruity, and much better than I expected.
Effect 3/5
In total, I took five teaspoons of this product (25mg THC/25mg CBD) in one sitting, and waited for the effects to kick in. Over two hours passed before I began to feel anything. The effects were a little too subtle for my liking, to be honest. What I felt was a combination of a body and mind high – I felt a little bit of a tingling all over, and I could sense all muscle tension fade away. My vision was amplified, and color seemed to be more vibrant. The effects lasted around one hour.
Product price: $27; $33 including tax
I would hesitate to recommend this product to experienced users. New users might enjoy this product because the effects are so subtle, and there is no funky cannabis flavor or smell. I feel like I had to take way too much of the product in order to feel an effect – half the product was gone after one use. Because of this, I would only recommend this to experienced users who need relief from pain. I felt an easing of tension and soreness throughout my short-lived high.
I enjoyed trying out Revolution’s Orange Pineapple Guava Surp. When I purchased the item, NuMed made sure to put my customer service needs first, both in their online ordering system and in the store.
The ordering system is simple to navigate, and store employees fulfill the orders in a timely manner. Revolution’s Orange Pineapple Guava Surp didn’t exactly give me the strong effect I was looking for, but I could see the product providing some benefits to other users.

In the face of the current crisis, NuMed has quickly made adaptations to continue to provide the Chicago area with quality medicinal cannabis. Medical patients may pre-order online, or they can come to the store and order from a budtender, as usual.
Recreational patients must pre-order online, though. Online ordering opens at 11:00 am each day. From my experience, the online ordering system is much more convenient than coming to the store to make selections. By pre-ordering, I’m assured that the specific products I want are still available before I head to the store. It makes the whole shopping process much easier, and it’s something I hope they continue to employ even after this disaster has ended.
