On this trip, I was looking for something chocolatey, and preferably with a higher THC content. After browsing online, I decided to try out the cannabis-infused dark chocolate drops by Sweet Life by Hannah.

The pack contains 10 pieces, with each piece containing 10mg of THC, for a total of 100mg THC for the whole package. As a dark chocolate lover, I was eager to try these.

Appearance  5/5
The dark chocolate drops come inside the packaging that is similar to a large, luxury chocolate bar you’d find at a grocery store. The packaging design looks attractive, and clearly states that these chocolate drops are cannabis-infused. There’s plenty of ingredient information on the back of the package, as well.

The package has an interesting safety mechanism, in which you have to pinch two tabs on either side in order to slide out the inner plastic sleeve. This sleeve has a slot for each individual chocolate drop.

The drops look great. They are uniformly round, with a rich dark chocolate color, and each is stamped with a letter “C” on top. What the “C” stands for, I’m not sure…chocolate? Cannabis?

Aroma  5/5
The drops have a nice dark chocolate aroma. It’s a sweet smell, that also has earthy and bitter notes typical of dark chocolate. There’s a faint cannabis scent, too, but it’s not overpowering, and isn’t obvious, for those who are concerned about that sort of thing. It was fairly cool inside when I smelled these, and I imagine on a warm day, they might smell a little stronger.

Taste  5/5
I’m happy to report that these dark chocolate drops tasted fantastic. They also are a lot larger than I thought they were — less drops and more splash, I guess. In any case, the piece melts in your mouth, and is large, so it lasts a while on your tongue.

The flavor is spot-on, too.

The drops are plenty sweet, but have a dark chocolate bitter edge to them. It’s clear that Sweet Life takes pride in cultivating quality chocolate for this product. I’m not a chocolatier, but I’d guess these are around 65% cacao, which I consider pretty mild on the bitter scale, so those who aren’t hardcore into dark chocolate will still enjoy these.

Effect  5/5
There’s something about chocolate edibles – I think it’s the fat content – that makes them seem more potent to me. These chocolate drops definitely fit the bill in that regard. I started to feel notable effects within 30 minutes.

The music that was playing in the background of the restaurant I was in, soon became distracting. In fact, the high was so strong, soon after, I decided to take an Uber home!

Once home, I was able to relax more, and fully enjoy the strong body high and euphoric feelings the edible brought on. I was on “Cloud 9” for quite some time. By the time I went to bed — probably five hours after taking the piece — I still felt nearly as high as my peak. The next morning, I had a pleasant leftover high — the kind that leads to a peaceful, relaxed morning.

Product price: $30

I’d highly recommend Sweet Life by Hannah Dark Chocolate Drops to nearly anyone. The dark chocolate itself is on-point, flavor wise, so I don’t imagine anyone having taste issues, unless they already know they dislike chocolate.

The dose is definitely on the stronger side, so these are a good option for medical users, and recreational users seeking a deep series of effects. I wouldn’t recommend these to first-time users, or to those who are apprehensive, as their shape and size makes cutting these in half pretty easy.

Sweet Life By Hannah’s Dark Chocolate Drops are a winner in my book. I’ve tried an array of chocolate edibles at this point, and these are among the best-tasting ones I’ve found. Seek these out if they’re available at your local dispensary. Just make sure you have enough time to let the effects run their course, and plan accordingly!

Nature’s Care is my favorite dispensary in the area. They’ve got an incredible space that’s friendly, cozy, and accommodating. The sales floor is pretty hip without being pretentious. Prices are pretty on par with what you would find anywhere else, too.

Their location is easy to get to, though it is tucked away in an industrial part of Rolling Meadows. Their parking lot is small, and reserved for medical patient use exclusively, which is such a thoughtful touch for those with chronic pain, or mobility issues. Medical users can also skip the lines outside the building, which can get pretty long at times.

Nature’s Care has really stepped up their efforts to serve the medical community in multiple ways. The parking lot rule is just one example. They’ve also committed to ensuring product is in supply for medical patients first, before selling it recreationally. There are separate lines on the sales floor for medical and recreational customers, as well as lines for those who pre-ordered, and those who did not.

If you’re a frequent visitor (or plan on becoming one) definitely sign up for Nature’s Care’s loyalty rewards program. Each purchase you make will earn you points in their system. These points can be applied to discounts on future purchases, vendor merchandise, and more! All you need to check your points balance is enter in your phone number at the checkout line.
