Cresco OG18 Pre-roll 1g

Cresco is based in Chicago, Illinois, and produces a wide variety of medical cannabis products, including quality flower, vapes, and edibles in partnership with other companies. OG18 is a Cresco standard. It is an Indica-dominant hybrid (70/30) that is supposed to be perfect for promoting rest and relaxation.

Cresco’s OG18 pre-roll comes in an aesthetically pleasing packaging. The product comes in a slim, dark blue cardboard box, with information regarding the strain and directions for use on the side of it. The joint is packaged in a plastic tube. The joint, itself, is tightly rolled. There are no brand markings, or any information, on the plastic tube for the joint. 

Aroma 4/5
This joint had a very, very strong smell. I was able to smell it strongly before even removing it from the plastic container, as it’s only able to dull the aroma slightly. It smells strongly of sour fuel and citrus. There are some earthy notes to the strain, as well, but those are more subtle than the strong sour smells. 

Taste 3/5
OG18 wasn’t quite as smooth as I would have liked. The taste was fairly pungent, and dominated by flavors of sour fuel and earth. As I exhale, the taste has a bit of sweetness to it. Overall, I thought the taste was reasonably pleasant. Nothing outstanding, but not a bad flavor, either. 

Effect 4/5
I began to feel the effects of this strain about a minute after my first hit. I felt instantly relaxed, but I wouldn’t say I felt tired. My head felt light, like my mind was floating, and I felt all my stress and anxieties melting away. This strain really stimulated my appetite – maybe a little too much. I took about six hits, felt the effects for about an hour, then took a few more hits. OG18 isn’t the strain with the strongest effects, but it certainly made me feel more relaxed almost instantly.

I enjoyed this product at night, and that’s when I would recommend any user try it out. It provides a head high that is relaxing to experience during the middle of the day, too. 

This product would be good for long-time cannabis users, but new users would likely enjoy it, as well. The smell and taste are moderately pleasant, but the effects are where this strain really seems to shine. Anyone needing a quick way to relax can find it with OG18. I would highly recommend this strain to any user suffering from insomnia, anxiety, or poor appetite.

Cresco has a pretty great strain with OG18. I appreciated my experience at the dispensary, including the recommendation they gave me for this product. I would buy this again to have on hand for a time when I’m having trouble relaxing, or sleeping.

Sunnyside is located in Elmwood Park, in a location convenient to public transportation. For those planning on driving, ample parking is available in the free valet lot, located next to the shop.

The staff members were especially great on this visit. There were a few options for pre-rolls available on the day of my visit, and I wanted to know about the differences each had to offer. My budtender was willing to take the time to answer my questions, so I could find the ideal strain to try. Even though the shop was busy, they took the time to get to know my preferences, and make a quality recommendation.
