While a night out on the town is good every once in a while, there’s something special about a night-in with your significant other, that seems far more intimate and thoughtful, in my personal opinion. Who needs a fancy, over-priced restaurant, when you can deliver an elegant dining experience for two in the comfort of your own home?
Taking the time to prepare a meal for your loved one is far more heartfelt than any restaurant, that’s for sure. The two of you can conversate about life, and it’s many intricacies, as you slave away over a hot stove. They will see, firsthand, just how much effort and care you are putting into the endeavor. And that sort of thing speaks volumes of someone’s affection towards another.

But this is also a great opportunity to show off just how “bougie” you can get, with the utilization of a high-class, somewhat exotic menu for the evening.
Perhaps, you take a more European approach to things, by implementing various elements to the main course that would’ve otherwise not have been enjoyed at a typical American eatery. These culinary gestures are rarely ignored, and the extra attention to effort will only help solidify your feelings for your significant other in new, super tasty ways.
However, as important as the dinner is, there’s something intrinsically special about a well-done dessert, especially a homemade one to cap off a successful night-in with your loved one. That said, cracking open a box of cookies, or whipping out a pre-made pie from the fridge simply will not do – nor should it.

You’ve already put so much effort into this night, why not keep it going with a thought-out dessert? It’ll serve as a scrumptious ending to an adorable evening, I guarantee it.
And, while there are a plethora of options you could go with, I suggest opting for something that adds a little “extra comfort” to the festivities, if you catch my drift.
Something like, oh, I don’t know…Cannabis-Infused Panna Cotta, perhaps.
Sounds good, doesn’t it? Of course, it does!
Well, you’re in luck, because that’s exactly what I’m here to teach you how to make.

But, before we dive deep into this recipe for Cannabis-Infused Panna Cotta, there’s a few ingredients that you’re going to need to get ahold of first. However, it’ll be for two separate elements of the dish: The Panna Cotta & The Cannabis-Infused Basil Seed Syrup.
Once you’ve successfully acquired all of those necessary ingredients, we can get started on this amazing Cannabis-Infused Panna Cotta recipe.

Instructions

Panna Cotta Instructions

  • In order to do that, you’ll want to grab a small bowl. Inside, you’ll toss in your cold water and gelatin packet. You should notice the gelatin instantly take on the water and start to grow. Feel free to leave it alone for about 5 minutes or so.
  • Then, you’ll need to grab a trusty saucepan and whisk in your sugar, vanilla, and cream. After those have been adequately mixed, leave those on a heat source to simmer with one another. At this point, you can grab that gelatin mixture from before, and toss it into this saucepan, as well.
  • Make sure you stir up these ingredients to the best of your ability.
  • When you’re happy with how all of that is looking, you’ll need to utilize the sifting properties of a strainer, to remove any unwanted chunks from the Panna Cotta mixture that you’ve just created. This sifting should leave you with a super smooth Panna Cotta concoction.
  • Now, grab that non-stick spray, and apply a healthy layer to your circular molds, that should be resting atop a baking sheet. Once those are greased up and ready to go, you may then carefully pour your pPanna Cotta contents into the molds.
  • When you’ve completed that step, you’ll want to cover each mold, before placing it in the fridge to cool.
  • At this point, you have a choice.
  • You can either leave it in there for the minimum 4 hours, or you could really give it a chance to hit that desired consistency, with an overnight stay in the fridge.
  • It’s completely up to you, but I always find that patience produces a more delicious product. That said, there really is no wrong answer here, so just go with your gut, and you’ll be fine.
  • However long you decide to let it chill out in those cold confines, when you are ready to take it out, you should run a sharp knife around the edge of each mold. That will make the transferring of it onto the plate that much easier.
  • Speaking of, after you’ve applied the knife along the edges, simply place a plate, upside-down, on top of the mold, and flip the contents over. That should result in a Panna Cotta resting comfortably atop your dish.
  • And that’s it – that’s how you make the Panna Cotta for this recipe.

Cannabis – Infused Basil Syrup Instructions

  • To do that, you’ll want to make a sugar syrup first. You can accomplish this by heating your sugar, along with a ½ cup of water, in a pan, until it comes to a boil.
  • As that is doing its thing in the pan, you’ll want to get your finely ground-up cannabis flower and toss it in a small bowl, along with your vegetable (or canola) oil. Once those two elements are combined, you may then add it to your sugar syrup mixture in the pan.
  • Remove the pan from the heat source, and place a cover over it. Let these elements mix and mingle with one another for 6 hours. Yes, 6 hours. That should be ample time for the THC in the oil to work its way into the sugar syrup.
  • After that lengthy-time period, you’ll toss that entire pan into a blender, and mix everything up for about a minute, before straining out all of the floral elements of the cannabis that remain.
  • Following that quick strain, toss all of the contents back into the blender, but this time with basil leaves. Repeat the same process of straining, this time to sift out of the basil leaf components.
  • Then, you’ll take that remaining ½ cup of water, and bring it to a full boil.
  • When it hits that boiling point, toss in your basil seeds, and allow them to sop up as much water as they can, until they roughly double in size. In my experience, that takes about 10 minutes or so.
  • After that happens, remove them from the water, and allow them to mellow out, until they are back to room temperature. At that point, you can add these seeds into your cannabis-infused syrup mixture.

Glaze Panna Cotta

  • After you’ve adequately blended all of those ingredients together, you can head on over to your Panna Cotta, and apply a nice, thick layer of this cannabis-infused basil seed syrup over it.
  • And, boom, that’s it.
  • That’s how you make Cannabis-Infused Panna Cotta!
