Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Baking dish

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 3 tablespoons cannabutter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish and set aside
  • Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the cooked macaroni in a colander and set aside
  • In a saucepan, melt the cannabutter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour to create a roux. Cook the roux for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown
  • Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook the mixture for 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth. Season the cheese sauce with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, to taste
  • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated
  • Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top for a crunchy topping
  • Bake the macaroni and cheese in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top
  • Remove the baked macaroni and cheese from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving

Notes

  • Dosage may vary depending on the potency of the cannabutter used. Adjust the amount according to personal preference and tolerance.
  • Enjoy Mary Jane Mac & Cheese responsibly and be mindful of its effects.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
