The Sweet Life by Hannah Ranch Packet made by IESO contains cannabis-infused powdered ranch mix, with 50mg THC and 1mg CBD. Mixed with sour cream, it makes 1 cup of ranch.

IESO, named after the Greek goddess of remedy and recuperation, is an Illinois cannabis company.
They have a culinary team that focuses on producing new and innovative edibles. Sweet Life by Hannah is a brand of food-based edibles by IESO.

Appearance 3/5
The ranch mix comes as a yellowish cream colored powder, with coarser specs of green and brown. These are dehydrated onion, garlic, and parsley. I combined the powder with 1 cup of sour cream. The ranch powder has a thickening agent, too, which makes it about as thick as room temperature butter. When I purchased this, I pictured it being thinner, more like salad dressing, and assumed it would be mixed with milk. Made according to the recipe, it’s too thick for anything but dipping.

Aroma 3/5
My first impression of the aroma of the ranch mix is that it smells like a can of sour cream and onion potato chips. The aroma of salt and green onion is strong and pleasant. However, the aroma is more complex than that. Some elements of the aroma are strong and unpleasant. There is the addition of a very strong processed garlic smell, like garlic powder. The mix, as a whole, smells like protein powder.

After adding the sour cream, the aroma is diluted and partially overpowered. It smells more like ranch from a store.

Taste 4/5
This product tastes more or less like the ranch one would find on a veggie tray from a grocery store. It also has the same dipping-only consistency, too. While it has the signature tangy onion, dill, and parsley flavor of ranch dressing, this is no restaurant buttermilk ranch dressing. The flavor is standard, and the consistency is too thick. The powdered onion flavor lingered in my mouth long after I took a bite.

I tried this product with french fries, veggies, and pizza. I enjoyed it the most with the french fries. I think this would also taste very good with wings.

Effect 4/5
At first, I got a spoonful of ranch and started dipping veggies. Rather than sitting down to eat one dose at once, as I would do with most edibles, I snacked on the veggies and ranch mix over the course of about an hour. Mild effects of physical relaxation began to creep in almost immediately. As I continued to snack on the ranch, I felt a steady increase in relaxation that leveled out about two hours after I started eating.
This product provided a nice body high that was not too sedating. I felt very relaxed, but not high.

When made according to the package, the ranch is a dipping-only consistency. I have never encountered a ranch that thick, so here are some recommended adjustments to the recipe. For a less thick ranch, I recommend that users stick to adding 1 cup of dairy, but replace ½ – ¼ cup of the sour cream with milk. For a ranch thin enough to use as a salad dressing, users could substitute all of the sour cream with buttermilk for a similar flavor.

This is a cool product, and I could see this being an awesome addition to a superbowl party or picnic. I like the idea of being able to graze on edibles, rather than consuming them all at once. The problem with this product is that, unless one is already high, eating enough cannabis-infused ranch to get high doesn’t sound like much fun. The packet makes 1 cup of ranch that contains 50mg THC. To consume 10mg THC, I would have to eat slightly less than ¼ cup of dressing.

The hours at all of the Sunnyside locations in Illinois have been changed. They are now opening at 9:00am instead of 10:00am, and they are closing at 7:00pm rather than 9:00pm. For recreational customers under the age of 55, this means that the first online orders are accepted at 9:00am.

The new recreational-only Sunnyside location in River North opened up in the last week of May, only to be closed again. Looters broke into several Chicago dispensaries, including Sunnyside – River North. Although they were unable to breach the vault to take any product, they broke the windows, forcing the dispensary to shut down temporarily.

Many of the dispensaries, including all five other Sunnyside Illinois locations, shut down for five days to avoid being targeted by looters, re-opening on Friday, June 5. Demand has been high, and wait times have been long. On Friday, their website kept crashing. I tried to get their menu to load on several devices, and I was unable to view it. Eventually, they shut down online ordering for the rest of the day.

On Saturday, I tried to place my order at 9:00am and 10:00am, with no success. When I refreshed the page on the hour, it was unable to load until the online ordering window was closed. I was finally able to place my order at 11:00am.

Demand is expected to slow down, as patients and customers are able to pick up their orders, and they are planning to re-open the new River North location this week.
