On this trip, I decided to try something a little different. Savory edibles are few and far between, so Sweet Life By Hannah’s ranch seasoning packet caught my eye. It’s a pretty large pack of — you guessed it — ranch powder seasoning mix. You can blend it in with yogurt, mayo, or a non-dairy vehicle of your choice. Or, you can just sprinkle it on top of your favorite food. The pack contains 100 mg of THC (total). The strain used is unspecified.
Appearance 4/5
When I brought home the package and opened it, I realized it contained a lot more seasoning than I expected. I poured the contents out onto a plate to examine. The powder is mostly fine, with a few clumps here and there. It’s mostly a grayish-white color, but you can see specks of spices and herbs sprinkled throughout.
I mixed a portion of the powder in with some yogurt and mayo, and stirred it all up until they were fully combined. It had a similar look, color, and consistency to most ranch dips you’d find at the store, or at a restaurant. So, that was nice to see.
Aroma 5/5
Sweet Life did a solid job of hiding the weed aroma in this seasoning packet. It really just smells like any ranch powder you’d buy at the store, albeit with a stronger garlic presence than most. Beyond that, I could smell dill and black pepper, but garlic was definitely the star.
Taste 4/5
During my experiments with this ranch seasoning, I tried it a couple of different ways.
First, I mixed in what I assumed to be a 15 mg dose of the powder, with some Greek yogurt and mayo. I dipped some carrots in and went to town. To the shock of no one reading this, it tasted like ranch! I could taste that strong garlic flavor, too, but otherwise, I enjoyed it.
Again, I couldn’t detect any marijuana flavorings, and I know that can be a pro or a con, depending on who you ask.
I also tried the seasoning powder on its own, figuring some might want to sprinkle it on popcorn or another snack. This tasted pretty good, although it made me realize how salty the mix is. I definitely recommend mixing it into a dip, as it tastes better, and the fat content in a dip should help the THC get absorbed in your system.
Effect 4/5
After eating the infused ranch dip, I noticed the high feelings kicking in rather quickly. After about 30 minutes, I began to feel a nice calming sensation, and my worries melted away.
Over time, this developed into a stronger high that left me feeling deeply relaxed, with a bit of couch lock. I felt creative and mentally stimulated, too, but it wasn’t overpowering to the point of not being able to think. In fact, I’d say the effects of the high were making me better at the card game I was playing, opening up new ideas and strategies that I wouldn’t have otherwise considered.
Overall, I enjoyed the highs I got from the ranch. The only issue I have with it, and it’s kind of a big one, is how difficult it is to dose this product. Even after meticulously weighing and mixing the ranch together, I only felt mildly certain I was getting the amount I desired. This resulted in me throwing caution to the wind, and taking a larger dose than I meant to. Again, in the end, it led to a nice high, but a less precise one, for sure.
Product price: $24
This ranch packet is a great edible for ranch heads everywhere, and here in the midwest, I know there are plenty. This would be a cool item to serve to friends at an infused party. It’s also great as a snack at home — just be careful how much you use! I’d recommend this more for recreational users, and not medical users who are depending on a consistent dose.
While dosing infused seasonings, like Sweet Life By Hannah’s ranch packet, can be a pain, I still had fun with it. It’s a unique experience for me to prepare a savory infused edible, and it was a nice break from the usual chocolates and gummies. Plus, it did not disappoint at all in the taste department, and it produced a nice, mellow high, which is all we can hope for in the end, right?

Thankfully, our governor has decided to keep Nature’s Care, and other marijuana dispensaries across Illinois, open under the status of essential businesses. This declaration has made quarantining slightly easier for thousands of residents.
Nature’s Care has answered the call of providing the community with safe, high-quality marijuana products, both during the entire pandemic and well before. They’ve gone above-and-beyond with safety measures, like constant cleaning of their facilities, security guards on staff at all times, and the addition of a contact-free curbside pickup option. This service allows medical patients to drive up and park, while an employee brings out their products, and scans a debit card for payment. It’s quick, efficient, and creates a low-exposure way to get your goods.
I understand why many medical patients may be wary of visiting a dispensary that also serves recreational customers. And while the amount of recreational customers at Nature’s Care greatly outnumbers medical patients, the dispensary has taken multiple steps to prioritize their medical customers. This includes the curbside pickup option I mentioned above, as well as a commitment to keep products in-stock first and foremost for medical patients.
Nature’s Care uses the online sales platform, Jane, to offer its customers a way to discreetly browse products — neatly separated into categories like a flower, edibles, vapes, etc — and pre-order to pick up in-store at a later time. Just place your order, and wait for the notification telling you that your order is ready. If you find yourself in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs, be sure to stop in and visit Nature’s Care!
