The Skywalker OG cart from Matter., by Pharmacann, contains 500ml of 76.29% THC cannabis extract. There is also a small amount of CBD in this cart (<1%). This indica-dominant strain comes from two popular indica parents, Skywalker and OG Kush.
Pharmacann operates vertically integrated cultivation centers and dispensaries in eight states across the Midwest and New England. Pharmacann’s proprietary brand, Matter., emphasizes a science-based approach to creating cannabis products to most effectively help people.
Appearance 4/5
The appearance of the cart is pretty standard, with a tapered, white mouthpiece. The cart is labeled with an m. for Matter., Pharmacann’s proprietary brand. The cart was filled almost to the top with a viscous, copper liquid that was nearly transparent–far more clear than most vape liquids.
The only criticism I have of the appearance of this product is that the hole in the mouthpiece developed a thin skin after not being used for a few days. This was easily broken through with one hit, but the tip of the mouthpiece remained goopy. I noticed that the cart was not packaged with a rubber stopper on the mouthpiece, in addition to the one on the bottom, and this may account for it.
Aroma 2/5
This cart smelled substantially more like cannabis than any other vape product I have purchased at a dispensary. While some carts smell primarily of their terpene profiles, such as lemon or pine, the Skywalker OG cart from Pharmacann had a less pure aroma, more like hash oil. The aroma was chemically, and lacked purity.
I did appreciate that they didn’t try to mask the banal aroma with berry (or vanilla) scent and flavor. This is a no-frills product that is really not about aroma or flavor.
Taste 3/5
The Skywalker OG vape cart from Pharmacann has a mild chemical taste that overpowers almost everything else. This is followed by a hint of rosewater, which is almost perfumey, with a slight bitterness on the inhale. The texture of the smoke is slightly thicker and greasier than most carts or disposable vapes I’ve tried from the dispensaries.
Since the dispensaries have opened to recreational customers, I’ve come to have a higher standard when it comes to my vape liquid. This did not have the bright flavor or soft, pillowy vapor that I’ve grown accustomed to with other carts in this price range. It tastes cloudy — more like the solvent than the cannabis, itself.
Effect 4/5
While I was unimpressed with the taste and aroma of this product, the effects more than made up for it. This 76.29% THC cannabis extract seemed to affect me before I even exhaled. I felt a sense of euphoria and engagement in my environment. While the high is physically relaxing, it is also heady, making it a good strain to unwind in the evening with. Also, it will aid in sleep, but not induce it.
The only downside of the effects is that it left me slightly dazed and disoriented in the following hours and days. When I used this product in the morning, I noticed that my word recall was often diminished for the rest of the day. This product also made my chest feel tight after taking more than three or four hits.
Product price: $59.15
I recommend this product for people who are looking for an indica cart that does not make the user particularly drowsy. This Skywalker OG cart is a good product for people who are looking for a cart with heady, euphoric effects. While it is not for those who prioritize taste or discretion, it is a good product for anyone who is trying to unwind in the evening.
I found this cart to be hard on my throat, and I recommend that users start off taking smaller hits.
I enjoyed the effects of this cart greatly, but it made me more intrigued about Skywalker OG, the strain, than about Pharmacann, the brand. While the strain is great, the flavor of this particular cannabis extract doesn’t hold up against the hyper-purified sauces, CO2s, and liquid live resin carts on dispensary menus these days.

I placed my order on Sunnyside’s online ordering platform, and they texted me 11 minutes later with the order confirmation. Rather than instructing me to go to the main location of the dispensary, the text said “Please proceed to 3801 N Clark St (i.e. the consultation space across the street from the dispensary), to check-in & collect your order within 3 hours.”
I arrived and checked in at the front desk. A security guard checked my confirmation text at the door. Then, I waited in line, and gave my name to the employee at the front desk. I was instructed to follow another employee into the back of the space, and sit on a couch six feet apart from the nearest customer.
The consultation space, which a few months ago, was a pizza restaurant, was completely refurbished and full of grey furniture and small tables. There were several TVs looping the same information playing in the dispensary waiting room.
Every minute or so, one employee would radio to another that they could take one, or two, or three customers over to the line outside the dispensary. There, five cones, ten feet apart, marked the spaces where customers should stand. Since they are no longer allowing customers to modify their orders in the store, the line moved rapidly.
There isn’t much to say about my time inside the dispensary, other than that it was drastically more efficient than any of my previous trips. The budtender pulled my order from the back, cross referenced every item, and took my payment.
