Rythm is a subsidiary brand of the national cannabis company, GTI. Their disposable pens are ideal for discretionary relief on-the-go, and feature quality medicinal liquid live resin. This disposable features Rythm’s Lucie strain.
The pen contains 76.57% THC and, as part of Rythm’s “Balance” line, features a hybrid strain formulated by GTI. The strain has recently been somewhat problematic, with users complaining about seeds in flower. I was interested to see how this pen would hold up compared to other products under the Rythm brand.
Appearance 5/5
Rythm’s Lucie Disposable Pen is packaged in a slim salmon-colored vinyl pouch, which is typical of products under Rythm’s Balance line. The pen is black, about four inches long, with a small mouthpiece, and a clear chamber, so the user can see the amount of product that is left. At the bottom, the pen features a salmon-colored light that turns on when the vape is in use. I was pleased to see this pen’s chamber was completely full, which doesn’t always seem to be the case with these pens.
Aroma 4/5
I opened the package, and took in the pleasant aroma of this pen. All at once, I got hints of woodsy and spicy aromas. Notes of fresh pine really seemed to stick out to me. Overall, the smell is quite mild and enjoyable – I’d liken it to the smells of a fresh rain in a forest, with a spicy twist. The smell is mild enough that you could probably enjoy this vape discreetly on-the-go.
Taste 3/5
The flavor of this pen was excellent to start. As I took a few hits, I took in the variety of flavors that I experienced on every exhale. It was a light mix of herbal and woodsy flavors, with hints of spice.
The pen gave me a very pleasant aftertaste – slightly earthy and woodsy, with notes of fresh pine, but it was also a bit sweet. The only negatives about this pen were that the more I used it, the more I noticed the taste starting to get slightly burnt. It wasn’t bad enough for me to stop using it, but it was noticeable, and really changed the flavor of the product.
Effect 2/5
After I took about three hits, I noticed the effects of this pen starting to kick in. I felt a slight ease in tension and anxiety, but mostly the effect was limited to a slight body high. Overall, the effect was subtle, and mostly a body high – I didn’t feel energized. I feel that maybe the hybrid effects were a little lost in this pen, or were just too subtle to be noticed.
Product price: $30.37; including tax: $39
I would probably be a little hesitant to recommend this vape. Rythm’s Lucie strain is a hermaphroditic strain that has been problematic for some users, and I feel that this may have also translated to the concentrate form of the strain in this vape.
The most I felt from this pen was really a mild pain relief, and a reduction in muscle tension, but not much more. That said, Rythm has a strong product line, with plenty of quality vapes and cannabis concentrates. I feel that the user’s money may be better spent on a Rythm vape that features another strain.
Even though Rythm’s Lucie Disposable Pen wasn’t my favorite product from the brand’s line of disposable vapes, I had a great time purchasing and trying the product. Thus far, everything I’ve tried from Rythm is a quality product, so maybe this strain just wasn’t for me, but it might be ideal for another user.
I appreciated my experience at the dispensary – all employees put the health and safety of customers (and each other) first, which is comforting to see during these tough times.

Recreational Users Check Website for Open Days/Times
During this Covid-19 crisis, NuMed continues to pursue its mission to provide high-quality medicinal cannabis to both medical patients and recreational users, alike. While medical patients may pre-order online, or come to the store to place orders, recreational users must pre-order, and must designate a time to pick up in-store.
Store pickup procedures have been adjusted to ensure the safety of all customers. Medical patients receive priority entry, as they should. Recreational users are allowed into the store incrementally to encourage social distancing, and social distancing requirements are enforced outside the store, too, as recreational users wait to enter. On my visit, employees were great about following social distancing guidelines, and customers were happy to cooperate.
