Strawberry Sativa Gummies

The product I picked up on this trip was Encore Edibles’ Strawberry Sativa Gummies. These gummies each contain 10 mg THC per piece. Each container has 10 pieces, so you get a total of 100 mg THC per pack. The exact strain is not given, but it is of a Sativa variety. 

Appearance 3/5
While I don’t consider appearance to be the most important thing, I do feel like Encore Edibles has some room to improve in order to make their products a bit more eye-catching. These gummies come in a black circular plastic container, with “GUMMIES” printed in big colorful letters. 

The gummies are bright red hexagonally-shaped bites, with some sugar coating around the outside. These also look fine, but again, were nothing too incredible. A lot of brands seem to be going after a luxury, premium look, or a natural handmade vibe, but Encore Edibles seems to just stay in the middle of the road. 

Aroma 4/5
These gummies smelled pretty dang sweet but also had a fairly realistic strawberry aroma. There was a mild weed scent here and there that I could pick up, but it wasn’t really the central focus. Overall, I liked the smell of these gummies. 

Taste 4/5
Props to Encore Edibles for making, well, a pretty tasty edible! This nail the strawberry flavor without tasting overly artificial. The weed taste was also a bit more pronounced than I’ve noticed in other edibles, but I didn’t mind. These gummies were really sweet, so the weed taste balanced things out. The only minor complaint I had with these was their texture. They were less like chewy gummies; instead, they had more of a Peeps-like texture.

Given my minor criticisms up until now, I’m happy to report that the high these gummies produced – which I consider the most important factor – was excellent. 

For my first time, I took a single 10 mg piece and could start to feel the effects kick in about 40 minutes later. I noticed my mood-lifting, and in no time, I was laughing a ton, and all sorts of interesting ideas were coming to me. Compared to other standard 10 mg edibles, I’d say the effect of these gummies was slightly stronger and lasted longer than most. 

On another day I took two pieces, looking for a really strong high, and these definitely delivered. I’d love to tell you more about my experience that day, but I was super stoked, and can’t recall much. I guess that’s a testimony in, and of, itself!

I’d recommend Encore Edibles Strawberry Sativa gummies to literally anyone! They’re strong enough for medical patients, as well as recreational users looking for a pronounced high. They taste pretty good, and that strawberry flavor has a wide enough appeal for most. They’re also easy to cut in half for a small dose if you’re looking to take it slow.

Though not as gummy as I anticipated, these edibles impressed me with the high they produced. Like I said above, these seem to have just a little extra oomph, compared to other 10 mg edibles out there. I’d definitely give these edibles an encore, and pick them up again, or maybe try some of Encore’s other flavors the next time I’m at the dispensary.

I purchased my products at Nature’s Care, which is a cannabis dispensary that serves medical and recreational customers located in Rolling Meadows, a northwestern suburb of Chicago. I wish other retail operations held themselves to the same high standards!
