Sweet Life’s Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans come in a tiny black plastic package, with a brown label detailing information about the product. The packaging is so simple that it somewhat made me question the quality of the edibles. 

I was also surprised that the “espresso beans” weren’t actually beans at all – they are small chocolate drops made into the shape of beans. While the wrapping leaves me underwhelmed, I do appreciate that the packaging is small and fairly discreet, allowing the user to easily enjoy this on-the-go.

Aroma 5/5
The rich aromas of this product were evident as soon as I opened the package. These smell like actual chocolate-covered espresso beans. I first sensed the bittersweet smells of dark chocolate, followed by just a suggestion of an espresso aroma. Since the scents of chocolate and coffee are so strong, it completely masks any aroma of cannabis. There was no hint of it at all.

Taste 5/5
I grabbed a few of the “beans” and let each piece dissolve slowly in my mouth, enjoying the rich flavor. I got flavors of smooth dark chocolate, combined with delicious coffee. Dark chocolate can turn some people off, but this chocolate wasn’t bitter at all. 

There is no hint of funky cannabis flavors at all, either. Only the rich dark chocolate and coffee tastes are present. In short, this product tastes fantastic. I would snack on these as a normal candy all day long if I could.

There are 20 individual chocolates in the package, and I ate 10, the equivalent of 25mg of THC. 

After about one hour, I felt these candies slowly start to kick in. There was a slight tingling in my body, centered in my core and radiating out, but the chocolates started to hit hard as I began feeling a very strong head high. 

I felt an intense sense of euphoria, too. I felt all my worries melt away, and my humor (and interest) were increased. These really got me super stoned, and the intense feelings lasted nearly 3 hours.

I would highly recommend this product to both new and experienced cannabis users. New cannabis users may want to start with a small dose, as the euphoric effects seemed to be very intense. 

I would recommend these candies to anyone suffering from depression or mood disorders. Ideal use would probably be during the day, since the chocolates have an energizing effect. Overall, I found this to be an excellent product in flavor and effect – I was very impressed.

From purchasing this product at the dispensary to enjoying it at home, I really enjoyed Sweet Life’s Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans. This is just one of the many quality edibles NuMed offers, and I’m excited to see if they get more products by this brand in the future. 

While the packaging didn’t impress me at first, I soon found that this is a high-quality product. I am likely to buy these again whenever I see them available, and I would definitely love to try other products by Sweet Life in the future, as well.

NuMed is a response to the current global pandemic that has been nothing short of impressive. They have organized online ordering for both medical patients and recreational users. Medical patients are encouraged to pre-order, while pre-ordering is a must for recreational users.

At the dispensary, the protocol has been put in place to prioritize the health and safety of both employees and customers. Social distancing is strictly enforced, both inside the store, as well as outside (if there is a line). Store associates seem to constantly be sanitizing all surfaces in the store. I feel confident that NuMed has taken the current situation very seriously, and I feel very safe while shopping in the store.
