Greenline OG is an evenly balanced hybrid developed by Cresco Labs for the Illinois cannabis industry. It is a cross between Lime Skunk and Ghost OG. This 1 gram pre-roll had a moderately high THC content of 23.73%.
Cresco Labs is vertically integrated with the Sunnyside Dispensary chain that has medical dispensaries in five states, including Illinois, and recreational dispensaries in Illinois and Massachusetts.
Appearance 5/5
The Greenline OG pre-roll is about 3.5” long, including the 1.25” filter. It is firm and well packed. It comes in a clear plastic tube that is about 4” long inside the bright green box that Cresco Labs uses to indicate hybrid strains.
The shake has a medium grind. There is a lot of variation in color, from light green pieces to deep forest green. There are brown threads throughout the shake and a decent amount of kief. The shake looks very fresh, even more so than other Cresco pre-rolls.
Aroma 4/5
This pre-roll has a bright, tart aroma that reminds me of fresh limeade. There are slight floral elements in the aroma. In spite of the fruity and floral notes, the scent is hardly sweet at all.
The aroma is relatively mild. While the aroma did not permeate the plastic tube it was packaged in, I could smell it sitting on the table from several feet away. But when I put the pre-roll up to my nose, the aroma was hardly more potent than when I was a few feet away.
Taste 4/5
The taste of Greenline OG balances being both fruity and earthy. Upon first inhaling, this pre-roll has a crisp taste that reminded me of tree bark or campfire smoke. As I inhaled, I noticed melon and mild citrus notes, particularly honeydew and lime.
Continuing to smoke Greenline OG, I noticed that the beginning of a hit was always more savory, and the fruity notes came out at the end.
At the dispensary, the budtender was telling me how amazing this pre-roll tastes. I was expecting to have my mind blown. In truth, the flavor of this pre-roll doesn’t stand out from any of the other high-quality cannabis at the dispensary, but the effects do.
Effect 5/5
Greenline OG is a hybrid strain with unique effects. I felt mentally excited and physically glued down–more so than with many Indica strains. But in spite of the physical sedation, I didn’t feel tired at all. I felt engaged in what I was doing and highly focused. I felt happy, relaxed, and mentally stimulated at the same time. I was very impressed with the effects of this strain. I was having a rough day when I smoked the last bit of this Greenline OG, and I felt like it turned my day around.
Product price: $19.80 for 1g
I recommend Greenline OG to students, or to people who medicate during work, because of the strong mental stimulation. I also recommend this strain to people who experience anxiety or paranoia with Sativa strains, because this strain has physically soothing effects. It is a nice strain for daytime and evening alike, and I highly recommend that all cannabis lovers give it a try.
Like many of the strains that Cresco Labs has in its line-up, the aroma and taste were what one would expect for high-quality cannabis, but the effects exceeded my expectations. Not only was I very impressed by the effects of this strain, but I enjoyed smoking a strain with a Chicago namesake from a local company.

I went to the new Sunnyside Recreational-only dispensary in River North for the second time last week. They have only been open for about two months, during which they closed for a week due to a break-in. While the Sunnyside location in Lakeview has distilled the fulfillment of recreational orders to a science, the River North location is still working out the kinks.
Both of my trips took about an hour, from the time I entered the dispensary, to the time I was leaving with my products, but for very different reasons. While they were just busy the first time I went, the last time they ran into technical difficulties.
I arrived at the dispensary about an hour after I placed my order and showed my confirmation text to a very friendly security guard. I got in line at the host stand behind two other customers. 10 minutes later, I was still third in line.
The employees clustered together looking at the computer screen. Meanwhile, 15 customers were lined up, six feet apart, waiting to check in. During this time, I tried to place another order and pull up my current order on their website to see if the system was working. The website said I had no past Sunnyside orders, which is definitely not true. I wasn’t able to put any items in my cart, either.
Many customers left, not wanting to wait. After about 45 minutes, tech support arrived and set up at a booth in the back. It took 10 minutes for him to get the system up and running again, and next thing I knew, I was on my way to the dispensary.
When I got to the dispensary, the security guard said he wanted to make this as quick as possible. There were four budtenders, all of which had no customers to assist. I walked up to a register, and the budtender got my order from the back and processed my payment. After waiting almost an hour for the system to reboot, I spent less than five minutes in the dispensary picking up my order.
