Now, seeing as how this THC Apple Pie recipe will be segmented into two sections (the crust and the filling), I’ve gone ahead and split up the ingredients into separate sections, as well, to make it a bit easier to follow.

So, for the THC Apple Pie crust, you will need:

Instructions

  • To begin, you’ll want to sift the sugar, salt, and flour into their own bowl. Then, you can add in your vegetable shortening and cannabis-infused butter. Keep mixing these elements up until the contents take on a “crumbly” complexion and consistency, which should only take a few minutes, at most.
  • At this point, you’ll want to add cold water, but only a little at a time. Following that, you’ll want to knead the dough. Keep that kneading going until the flour mixture starts to remove itself from the sides of the bowl. What you’ll be left with is a ball of dough.
  • You will then split this dough into 2 different parts, with one being larger than the other. The larger will be the bottom of your pie, and the smaller will be the top. After that, place both doughs in cellophane wrap, and place them in the fridge for half an hour.
  • You can then preheat your oven to 425°, as those doughs mellow out in the fridge.
  • Then, when that 30-minute time period is over, remove it from the fridge, and roll out the dough, making sure they both take on a similar thickness. When you’ve done that, place them back in the fridge for the time being, before getting started on your filling.

Filling

  • For the filling, you will need to peel and slice the apples, and place them in a bowl, along with some brown sugar and lemon juice. After mixing all of those elements together, you can then mix the leftover flour, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg together in a completely different bowl.
  • Take those “dry ingredients” and mix them into the apple mixture as best you can, and let them marinate with these new flavors for at least 10 minutes.
  • Now, you will want to take out the pie crust bottom, and expertly place it in the interior of a pie tray. Following that quick step, apply all of that delicious apple filling on top of the bottom layer, before layering the top pie crust on top of that.
  • Be sure to seal the top and bottom of the crusts together, while also crimping the edges with a fork. Also, don’t forget to slice a few slits into the middle of the top layer, for proper ventilation as it bakes.
  • At this point, you’ll want to whisk those eggs in a different bowl, and toss in a little water to create an egg wash, that you will then brush on the top of the pie.
  • After that, sprinkle a fair amount of sugar on the top of the pie, as well, before throwing it back in the fridge to cool down for 20 minutes or so.
  • When that time period has elapsed, remove it from the refrigerator, and place it in your oven.
  • Let it bake in the 425° heat for 20 minutes, before knocking it down to 325°, for another 20 minutes.
  • Around this time, you should be able to remove your pie from the oven, but before you dive in, let it cool down for a spell on the counter. Then, after it mellows out, you can cut yourself a slice (or two), and enjoy the calming, delicious effects that this homemade THC Apple Pie is guaranteed to deliver.
