Sunset Sherbert, a strain derived from Pink Panties and the famous Girl Scout Cookies, is a popular Indica-dominant hybrid. This cart from Rythm contains 0.5g of Sunset Sherbert CO2 extract. Its total cannabinoids were 88.35%, making this one of the most potent carts on the market. CO2 extract uses CO2 to extract cannabinoids, rather than butane or propane, creating a more pure extract.

Appearance 5/5
The cart from Rythm was about 2” tall in total, with a ¾” clear glass chamber, and a 1” black tapered mouthpiece. At the base of the cart, where it screws into the battery, there is a peach-colored Rythm logo, the color indicating that this is a hybrid cart.

The cart was filled almost to the top. Rythm fills their carts slightly more than other brands, with 0.526g usable cannabis in the cart. The extract was much lighter than the other Rythm cart that I purchased at the same date.

Aroma 4/5
This cart had a light, almost buttery aroma that smelled like cannabis flower. There were also light floral notes, like a bouquet.

It did not smell like burning cannabis, and the aroma was overall light, but it does have the distinct cannabis aroma that is less apparent in many other carts. While it did smell like cannabis, the aroma was mild and it dissipated quickly. I enjoyed the aroma, and found it extremely pleasant, but the distinct cannabis scent makes it less discreet.

Taste 4/5
This product had a sweet, botanical taste. While it smelled like cannabis, it tasted much more floral. There were hints of vanilla and lemon. I found the taste to be very enjoyable, but I had to deduct points because the flavor was very mild. CO2 extracts are, as a whole, some of the least flavorful cannabis extracts, but this cart was substantially less flavorful than the other Rythm cart I purchased at the same time.

Effect 5/5
Sunset Sherbert has very soothing effects. It made me feel relaxed and happy. While it is physically sedating, it didn’t make me feel too tired. There was something energizing about this strain, too. I found it to be good for daytime use, as well as evening use.

While some carts leave the user with a flat high, I found that the high from this cart is almost as satisfying as the flower. This must be, at least partially, because the extract is almost 90% THC. I started to feel high after three or four hits.

Since I’ve tried four Rythm carts (and many others), I have some recommendations on storage to prevent the carts from getting clogged. The packaging of most carts recommends that they be stored upright. I’ve always found this to be difficult and tedious--especially when attached to the battery--and more importantly, ineffective on its own to prevent clogs. I’ve found that leaving the rubber stoppers, on both the top and the bottom of the cart, prevents it from getting clogged.

Sunset Sherbert is one of my long-standing favorite strains, and this cart from Rythm exceeded my expectations. The effects were just as calming as the flower, and the high was well-rounded, unlike many other carts I’ve experienced. I enjoyed this product very much, and plan to get another one when it comes back in stock at Sunnyside.

I went to Sunnyside when they were having a special for Pride, expecting it to be much busier. The deal they had was: two Rythm carts for $100 and a free Pride-themed battery. Which amounts to a discount of $11.15 per cart and a free $5 battery.

The battery from the Pride special, by the way, is good enough. It isn’t as powerful as the battery from Verano that I got at Sunnyside, and I use it as my back-up. That said, it’s also very cute.

Anyway, I was able to place my order online without a hitch and waited for my confirmation text. I waited about a half hour before I read the order confirmation they had sent me, noticing that it said my order was placed and ready for pick-up.

I hurried over to the dispensary expecting lines, but I was immediately able to check in and was instructed to head straight out the back door and across the street. I didn’t even have to wait in line in front of the main dispensary. Instead, I was able to walk right into the waiting room, and from there, into the dispensary as soon as they scanned my ID.

I had to wait the longest in line inside the dispensary, waiting to pick up my order. When I got to the counter, the budtender pulled up my order and went over every item with me, confirming that I would be given the discount and the free battery. He told me that I was close to a $5 rewards credit and processed my payment.
