The Blissfully Berry Pen is a disposable vape pen that contains 300ml of pure cannabis extract. This means that there was no solvent used in the extraction process. It contains an indica vape liquid that is mixed-berry flavored.

Appearance 4/5
There’s a 1” mouth piece, a 1⁄2” transparent chamber, and 2 1⁄2” battery that lights up at the bottom when hit. The chamber was halfway full of vape juice when I opened it up.
The juice is extremely thick. If I hold the pen upside down for 30 seconds, the juice doesn’t even begin to drip down. The vape juice is a copper color with hints of pink, and it is more translucent than most vape juices. I can see the details of the chamber behind the liquid very clearly.

Aroma 3/5
As soon as I opened the bag, my apartment smelled like a candy shop. This product doesn’t just have an aroma when it is used, it is quite fragrant all the time. On each exhale, the smell of artificial berries fills the room. Since the smell of this is so fruity, it is not a good product for stealth vaping. It mostly smells like raspberries and blueberries, but there is also an unpleasant hint of dentist office toothpaste in the mix, as well.

Taste 3/5
The Blissfully Berry Pen uses a generic indica extract that is berry flavored. The flavor is fruity, bright, and sweet, but it is also strongly chemical, and a little waxy, with the aroma overpowering the flavor.
I don’t know a lot about how vaping products are made, but I always assumed the sweetness in, say, a Strawberry Haze vape, tasted that way because the extraction brought out the natural flavors of the strain. This product made me rethink vaping as a product used for enjoyment, rather than solely for convenience. That said, this is no mango JUUL pod, that’s for sure.

Effect 2/5
This product made me feel physically relaxed and sedated, and little else. Other than the body high, the effects of this product are extremely mild. My mind didn’t feel calmed, or even cloudy. I didn’t feel very high at all, to be honest. I suppose for vape juice, this was very low in THC at 57.8%, where many similar products contain 70% to 80% THC. The strongest effect is the irritation it caused to my throat.

Product price: $44.36

For customers looking for a flavored vaping product, this is a solid choice. It is also a good choice for people who are looking for a low THC indica vape.

I would recommend this particularly to anyone who enjoyed the fruit flavored nicotine vaping products that are no longer available, since this product has a very similar taste and mouth-feel.

I’ve tried several disposable vapes in the Chicago area, and this was my least favorite. That said, I wasn’t expecting a “strong” flavored concentrate, and I didn’t know what to expect for the high because the only information I could find was that it was a generic indica. However, if I knew what I was purchasing, I suspect I would have been less disappointed with this product.

As the only dispensary in Chicago currently servicing recreational customers, in addition to medical patients, Sunnyside Dispensaries are doing several things to help keep customers safe in the wake of the Coronavirus.

All of the employees, from the security guards to budtenders, are wearing gloves (none are wearing masks). They are frequently disinfecting the counter space. They are drastically limiting the people in the dispensary and the waiting room. Which went from accommodating 12 customers at a time to just three.

They are encouraging debit card transactions, which they are making possible by running the card like an ATM withdrawal. Most of all, they are now using an online ordering platform for all recreational users. Medical patients are encouraged to use this platform, as well, but they may order in the store, too, should that be what they desire to do.

This platform is frustrating, to say the least. Customers may start adding items to their cart at 10:00 am, but the button does not always become active right at 10:00am. Then, the button briefly becomes active for less than a minute, in which time customers must add all of their items to their cart, and submit their order, before the window closes again, at which time the submission button becomes inactive.

So far, I have only had success using this platform by continually refreshing the page starting at 9:59 am, and adding the items to my cart once the button is active, then, the next day, submitting my order right when the window opens, when the submission button becomes active.

The only problem with this–other than going through the stress of an internet auction every morning– is the system comes up with an error, if any of those items are not available, and if that happens, it will not submit.

I tried to order online again this morning, and once again, I could only get one item in my cart before the window closed. I am scared to go back during lockdown because I don’t know what they are doing to mitigate the line down the block, but other than the frustrating online ordering platform, Sunnyside Lakeview has worked hard to continue servicing patients in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.
