Now, I’m sure after reading the title of this piece, you probably instinctively furrowed your brow in confusion. “Cannabis juice? What the heck?! They want me to start making my own marijuana juice or something? No thanks.” That’s likely the mindset of the average person reading this right now, and believe me, I get it. I shared a similar bout of perplexity the second I came across the notion of juicing cannabis, too, but after a bit of research on the matter, I quickly realized just how beneficial juicing marijuana can be.
A Detailed Look At “Cannabis Juicing”
I’m more than aware that this entire concept of raw cannabis juice is a bit hard to grasp, so please, allow me to elaborate on how to juice marijuana a bit, before you make any final decisions on the topic of juicing cannabis.
First and foremost, let’s take a closer look at juicing, in general, before any cannabis leaf juice enters the picture. That usually refers to any sort of fruits or vegetables you put into your blender to liquify it into oblivion, which most people refer to as, “Green Juice.”

This sort of juice is usually focused on utilizing the healing powers and nutrient-rich properties of various vegetables, in order to help the consumer cleanse or detoxify their system.
In other words, this fresh, often vibrant green concoction is chock full of nutrients, in fluid form, and is tailor-made to help rid your body of impurities and toxins. There is absolutely no additives, no sugar, no chemicals, or anything extra whatsoever. It’s purely ground-up vegetables, with a few fruits every now and then. Depending on what ingredients you toss into your “Green Juice” mixture, you will be sipping on a beverage that is purely enriched with phytochemicals, minerals, antioxidants, and vitamins of all kinds.
By consuming such a concoction on a daily basis, you stand to enjoy a wealth of physical and mental benefits. The health factors of these beverages are through the roof, and the litany of positive elements that you stand to gain from implementing this drink into your daily routine are astronomical. Not only will you be cleansing and detoxifying your body, but you’ll be enjoying a solid boost in energy and mood, as well as an increase in efficiency, as far as your immune system and mental outlook are concerned.

Seeing as how the juicing of other plants can be so beneficial and healthy, it only stands to reason that the juicing of raw cannabis should be just as amazing, right? Well, as far-fetched as that may have seemed, it actually appears to be true. And it’s the reason why more and more people are starting to toss raw cannabis into their juicing routines, and the benefits they are reaping from such an addition are truly remarkable.
But you can’t just go about tossing raw cannabis into your “Green Juice” all willy-nilly. There are certain aspects that you’ll need to consider before you even think about adding cannabis into your sippable morning routine.
For instance, you’ll need to remember to use only raw cannabis plants, and be smart about how much you’re using. A good rule of thumb is: the same amount of raw cannabis that packs up to 1000 mg of THCA, is the same exact amount that would’ve delivered 10mg of THC, if properly decarboxylated, via heat.
10mg is typically viewed as a standard “dose” of THC, regardless of experience level or tolerance. So, keep that in mind while you’re adding cannabis into your delicious “Green Juice.”
Another thing that you’ll want to do is keep it “fresh and funky,” with a strictly organic plant – one that has been adequately flushed of impurities and toxins in the appropriate way. That should leave only the useful nutrients in its wake, the likes of which you will happily juice up and consume. Which, at the end of the day, is what we’re all trying to accomplish with healthy beverages of this nature.

Now, when I say “cannabis plant,” that may confuse some of you, who may not know what I am talking about. You are probably asking yourself, “Isn’t the entire thing a plant?”
Well, yes and no.
While the entire cannabis creation that we know and love is a plant, it’s typically the buds and nugs of the crop that we enjoy, either by smoking it, vaping it, or decarboxylating it for food and beverages. That’s how we consume THC.
But, the cannabinoid that exists before the low and slow heating of decarboxylation is known as, THCA.
THCA isn’t necessarily psychoactive, but it does possess a number of positive benefits for one’s mental and physical health, so the juicing, and subsequent consuming of it, can be very helpful for anyone looking to start their day off on a healthy note.
So, when I say “cannabis plant,” in regards to juicing, I’d say you should aim for a mix of about 30-40 small, sugar leaves, about 15-20 massive fan leaves, or if you’d like, you can blend up 2 (or more) substantially-sized buds. However you choose to go about it, those combinations should be able to deliver an adequate amount of nutrients and cannabinoids, but just make sure it’s as fresh as possible. Anything stale or “past its prime,” won’t be as effective, if at all.
Other than that, once you’ve landed on how much and what kind of cannabis you’d like to juice, simply combine it with your other vegetable and fruit ingredients, and blend it all together until it reaches a smooth, juice-like consistency, and drink up!
That’s it. Pretty simple, right?
While there are a number of quality Cannabis Juice recipes out there, I have grown quite fond of one in particular that I believe goes best in the morning, especially if you’ve already brushed your teeth.
