Strawberry Kush is an Indica strain that comes from a cross between Strawberry Cough and OG Kush. This 510 thread glass chamber cart contains 0.5g of cannabis extract. Unlike the disposable Rythm pens, Rythm carts require a separate battery.

Rythm is a cannabis company that cuts through the noise by producing high quality, no-fuss vaping products, flower, and cannabis concentrate.

Appearance 3/5
The cart contains two main sections and a metal bar with the Rythm logo at the bottom. The top ¾” of the cart is a black tapered mouthpiece. Below that, is a ¾” chamber that is filled almost to the top with copper liquid, with the consistency of maple syrup.

Maybe that is why I felt a stickiness around the seam between the mouthpiece and the chamber. There was a visible amount of cannabis oil on the outside. I dabbed it off with a damp paper towel before photographing it. I was able to get most of it off, but there was still a faint stickiness on the outside. In spite of the leakage, this product works well, and appears to be adequately sealed.

Rather than being packaged tightly in a box, it was packaged in a plastic tube similar to one that might contain a pre-roll that was loose in the box.

Aroma 4/5
The aroma of Rythm’s Strawberry Kush cart is so minimal it is hardly noticeable. The smell of this product is vaping-in-the-bathroom faint — not that I condone that. I couldn’t smell anything in my living room, so I tried hotboxing in my closet to see if I could distinguish any sort of aroma. I noticed the slightest strawberry smell, with a hint of gasoline. The smell I could distinguish might have been unpleasant if it was stronger, but since it was so minimal, I wasn’t bothered by it.

Taste 4/5
This product has a strong berry flavor–not just strawberries, as the name would indicate, but blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, as well. This is pleasant because it doesn’t taste like Rythm has added in any berry flavor. They have just made the most out of the natural flavor of this strain.

This is not the first Strawberry Kush cart I’ve tried, and I think one of the reasons this strain is so popular for vaping is that the natural berry flavor of cannabis is brought out nicely in the vapor.

I deducted one point from the rating of this product because CO2 extracts don’t preserve the natural flavor of the cannabis as well as some other concentrates, like liquid live resin. This product was slightly bland, but overall pleasant.

Effect 2/5
While this product did provide a full, well-rounded high that some vape products lack, I didn’t enjoy the particular effects of the Strawberry Kush extract. This product made me feel calm, peaceful, and focused when I was in a good mood.

When I was in a bad mood, and I used this product, I felt even more sad. This strain isn’t uplifting, and it isn’t quite numbing enough. This product made me feel disoriented in a way that wasn’t pleasant.

Product price: $66.54

Even though this is an Indica strain marketed with the word “Relax”, this product isn’t as sedating as many Indica strains and can be used during the daytime or in the evening. I would not, however, recommend this strain for treating insomnia. Although it is a physically relaxing strain, it is not the type of strain that brings on sleep.

I picked up this cart because I was really impressed by the disposable vape pens from Rythm. While I enjoyed this product, I was annoyed by the oil on the outside cart because I had to keep an eye on the cart to make sure it wasn’t leaking.

Even though the taste and effects of Rythm’s products are great, the oil between the mouthpiece and the chamber on the outside of the cart, makes me wonder how well these carts are made, beyond what is inside.

Ever since the week before 4/20, Sunnyside has been low on the flower. When I went last week, they had one-eighth of a CBD strain and three different types of pre-rolls. They got their usual order of flower on Friday, but this lacked the variety of the shipments they were receiving at the end of March and beginning of April. In addition to the CBD strain, they added a gram, and a half-ounce, of the same strain, along with an eighth of another. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, they will be able to stock the variety of flowers they were selling a month ago.

At Sunnyside, all the customers except one recreational customer and one medical patient were wearing face coverings. The security staff was not wearing face masks this time, but all of the budtenders were wearing facial coverings (although some were under the nose). All of the Sunnyside staff were wearing bright orange gloves that matched the signature color of the dispensary.

Ever since they forgot an item when I made changes to my order in the dispensary, I’ve been trying not to adjust my order after arriving at the dispensary. With the online ordering platform allowing customers to add items to their cart outside the one-minute ordering window, I haven’t needed to make any adjustments to my order for several trips.

People, customers, and staff aren’t talking much at Sunnyside these days, so I’ve been trying to minimize my interactions with the budtenders. I did ask for a book of papers, and the budtender happily added that to my order.

Unlike last time, my order was not pre-packaged. The budtender took a bright orange bag from the counter. filled it up, and came back to go over my order, item by item. With fewer customers adding items to their order, the process of picking up an online order is getting faster and faster. Once I got to the counter, it took about four minutes before I was on my way home again.
