Cresco is based in Chicago, Illinois, and produces a wide variety of medical cannabis products, including quality flower, vapes, and edibles in partnership with other companies. Lime Sorbet is available at Sunnyside in 1g or 3g weights. Terpenes featured in this lime sorbet include Terpinolene (floral/pine) and Limonene (citrus/lemon).

Appearance 5/5
Lime Sorbet 1g comes packaged in a glass jar, and the label contains a lot of information about the process used at Cresco Labs, and their company’s mission to provide quality medical cannabis. The jar is glass, with a twist-off lid, and inside is one intact bud, along with some smaller pieces to make weight. The flowers are incredible, they’re a light neon green, with an abundance of copper pistils and trichomes.

Aroma 5/5
I opened the jar, and was immediately met with an intense aroma. This flower smells so wonderful. There are a lot of harmonious scents going on here. On the one hand, I smell skunky, bitter limes – a very strong but bitter citrus aroma. I also notice a rich earthy smell that reminds me of the scent of fresh mulch. These aromas play together so well to create a deep, pungent smell that I really loved.

Taste 5/5
Just based on the strain’s name, I was expecting the smoke of this flower to taste of citrus, and my first few hits of Lime Sorbet didn’t disappoint. I got a rich, slightly bitter citrus taste, similar to the taste of bitter lime juice. There is a slight hint of sweetness to the flavor, as well. The taste doesn’t diminish in intensity, as I continue to take hits. Overall, this is an extremely smooth smoke that is just delicious.

Effect 5/5
I felt an instant change in mood within about a minute of my first hit. I didn’t feel too much of a body high, but the head high was intense and pleasurable. There was a feeling of euphoria that hit pretty fast, and slowly began to build in intensity. I was able to get about 6-7 hits out of the small piece I used, and the flavor (and effect) didn’t diminish until it was ash. The feeling lasted about 1.5-2 hours. I loved the effects. It felt just like a great rush of happiness. My mind was carefree and open.

Product price: $20 for 1g; $25 including tax

I would highly recommend this to cannabis users, both old and new. This is a great strain to try.

The aroma and flavors are rich, and the overall effect is very pleasant. I would recommend smoking this in the evening, either for a night at home, or a night out on the town. It’s a high that’s relaxing, but won’t make the user especially tired. This would be great to enjoy with friends, as the euphoric feeling and increased humor will make any gathering that much more fun. The pleasant euphoric effects would be great for any user suffering from anxiety or depression.

My experience purchasing (and enjoying) this flower was excellent. I appreciate the recommendation of this product by the budtender. This strain could be one of my new favorites, as the flavor and effects were so enjoyable and rich. I would highly recommend Cresco’s Lime Sorbet to anyone. The next time I see it available, I’m buying it again - no doubt about it!

Medical Patients only Monday and Tuesday

Sunnyside is located in Elmwood Park, and is conveniently close to the River Grove and Elmwood Park Metra stops. On this visit, the shop had flower available, but there wasn’t a huge crowd in line, which was surprising.

The budtender answered my questions about each of the available strains of flower. I felt like they really knew what they were talking about, and they were able to help me decide on a strain that I would enjoy.

Sunnyside seems to be gradually getting more flower available to meet the constant high demand. On my visit, there were four different varieties of flower available, which is more than most of the Chicago-area dispensaries have had available for adult-use customers.
